Freight & LTL Shipping Policy

Freight & LTL Shipping Policy

At Digital Market Direct, we specialize in supplying high-grade commercial and industrial equipment across the contiguous United States. Due to the size, weight, and specialized nature of our product catalog, many orders ship via Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) Freight carriers.

1. Order Processing & Order Confirmation

All orders are processed upon verification of inventory and payment clearance. Once your order is processed, you will receive an estimated ship date along with tracking or Bill of Lading (BOL) information as soon as it becomes available from the manufacturing facility or distribution hub.

2. Standard Freight Delivery Services

Standard LTL freight deliveries include curbside delivery to commercial facilities equipped with a standard loading dock or forklift during normal business operating hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time).

Accessorial Services (Special Handling)

If your facility lacks a loading dock or dedicated forklift equipment, additional carrier services may be required:

  • Liftgate Delivery: Required if your delivery address does not have a loading dock or forklift. The driver will utilize a hydraulic liftgate to lower the shipment from the truck bed to ground level.
  • Residential Delivery: Required for deliveries to non-commercial properties, home-based businesses, or restricted-access locations.
  • Delivery Appointment / Call Before Delivery: Freight carriers will contact the designated recipient to schedule a delivery window.

Note: Any accessorial services requested after an order has shipped will be billed directly to the customer.

3. Receiving Freight & Inspection Requirements

Crucial Notice: You or an authorized representative must be present to inspect and sign for all freight shipments upon delivery.

  1. Inspect External Packaging: Carefully inspect the outer boxes, pallets, crate structural integrity, and shrink wrapping before signing the delivery receipt or Bill of Lading (BOL).
  2. Note Minor or Suspected Damage: If you observe any visible tears, crushed boxes, broken pallets, or signs of tampering, write "ACCEPTED SUBJECT TO INSPECTION - PACKAGING DAMAGED" explicitly on the driver's BOL.
  3. Refuse Severely Damaged Freight: If the merchandise itself shows clear, major physical damage, refuse the shipment and notify Digital Market Direct immediately at sales@digitalmarketdirect.com.

4. Concealed Damage Claims

In the event of concealed damage (damage discovered after unboxing that was not apparent externally), notify us within 48 hours of delivery. Freight carriers operate under strict claim windows; failure to report concealed damage within 48 hours severely limits repair or replacement eligibility.

To report damage, email sales@digitalmarketdirect.com with:

  • Your Order / Invoice Number
  • Clear photos of the packaging and the damaged equipment
  • A copy of the signed Bill of Lading (BOL)
